Built around one idea: a "top four Canadian cities" page is incomplete if it only describes them in one season.
Most city guides either pick one season silently or try to cram both into one undifferentiated paragraph. Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Quebec City change enough between January and July — different festivals, different transit reliability, genuinely different temperatures — that showing both, and letting the visitor switch between them, felt like the honest way to represent all four rather than defaulting to whichever season we happened to write it in.
Every festival date, temperature average, and seasonal detail on this site was checked against current published sources before being written up, including recent changes like Vancouver's 2026 fireworks event replacing its previous Celebration of Light. Weather figures are long-run averages, not forecasts — a given week can run warmer or colder than the numbers shown here.
This isn't a booking engine or a tourism-board site — there's no hotel search, no flight booking, and no paid placement for any city, festival, or business mentioned. It's also deliberately limited to four cities rather than attempting a full national guide; going wider would mean thinner coverage of all of them.
Maple & Frost has no commercial or promotional relationship with any city government, tourism board, or festival organizer named on this site. Festival dates, hours and details change — always confirm directly with the event organizer before finalizing travel plans around one.
