Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026. This page describes exactly what Maple & Frost collects — nothing more.

What we collect, and how

This site has one form: the general contact form on the Contact page (name, email, message). Submitting it sends the data to our server over HTTPS and stores it in a database record along with the date and the IP address the request came from. There are no accounts, logins, or other data-entry points anywhere on the site.

Why we collect it

Contact-form submissions are stored so we can reply to your message. We do not use it for marketing.

Local storage — the season toggle

The Winter/Summer toggle you see across this site remembers your last choice using your browser's localStorage, not a cookie. This is stored only on your own device, is never sent to our server, and doesn't identify you in any way. Clearing your browser's site data resets it to defaulting by the current month.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels, and does not set any cookies.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with any third party. Links to external sites (tourism boards, festival organizers, transit authorities) take you to a different site with its own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Data retention

Contact records are retained until you ask us to delete them, or until a periodic cleanup of records older than two years, whichever comes first.

Your rights and how to request deletion

You can ask us to show you what's stored under your email address, correct it, or delete it entirely — email a request through the contact form and we'll act on it within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
